Ruins of Adventure
Not to be confused with an Awl-Pike (though it can be used as a weapon), this leatherworking tool is a simple steel spike, three inches in length, with an ornate gilded handle.
When picked up, the Awl Out forces the victim to immediately leave the structure in which he is currently located, by the fastest available route. No saving throw is allowed, and the victim attempts to avoid all encounters until he or she is outside again. The victim may fight and react normally if cornered, but cannot stop for any other reason. The victim is not compelled to keep or hold onto the awl (though he certainly may choose to). Note that if the awl leaves the victim’s hand at any time, its original power returns (and will force the next person to pick it up to leave as above).
