These ten skeletal left hands are inscribed with the Noga symbols for “transcribe” and “replace”. If a character replaces the hand of a dead humanoid with one of these hands: it will act as a Speak With Dead spell—only the corpse will write (left handed) instead of speak. If left to its own devices and not asked specific questions, the hand will write out the corpse’s entire life story—in autobiographical fashion.

The hand will not function on a living creature. Once the hand has transcribed a story, it loses all magical qualities and crumbles to dust.
