This unusual garment is made like a robe, broad enough in the shoulders and long enough in the arm to fit a man, but with a length more typical for a halfling—making it either a comically short jacket for a taller humanoid, or a robe with comically long sleeves on a small-sized creature. Adding to it’s comical appearance, the robe is a crazy patchwork of brightly coloured scraps of fabric—myriad garish shades of blue, orange, red, pink, and other unnamable hues festoon the robe.

A character who dons it will note that many of the cloth patches are in recognizable shapes—bags, ladders, weapons, animals, and so on. Only the wearer of the robe can see, recognize, and detach these patches. One patch can be detached each round. Detaching a patch causes it to become an actual item, as indicated below. The robe of useful items has the following patches. Once removed, items are never replaced.
