Description:

Srady’s Penny is an ancient copper coin, one face is a bear and the other is a mouse. Legend claims it had been the source of innumerable tricks employed by its creator, the minor gnomish hero-deity, Srady Wiseowl. It radiates a strong aura of transmutation.

As a bonus action, a person can hold the coin in one hand and invoke its power by a command word to instantly change his size as follows:

“Size of a Bear!”: When held with the Bear face up and the phrase “Size of a Bear” in spoken aloud in Gnim, Srady’s Penny causes the subject to grow until they are ten feet tall (this has no effect on creatures already larger than ten feet). “Size of a Bear!” cancels out “Size of a Mouse!”, returning the subject back to their original size.

“Size of a Mouse!”: When held with the Mouse face up and the phrase “Size of a Mouse” in spoken aloud in Gnim, Srady’s Penny causes the subject to shrink until they are three inches tall (this has no effect on creatures already smaller than 3 inches). “Size of a Mouse!” overrides the “Size of a Bear!”, not cancelling it out, instead the subject shrinks to the size of a mouse.

Unless overrided by the opposite effect, the transmutation effects are permanent until dispelled (as a 9th level spell). Srady’s Penny itself can never change its size or form. Any transmutation spell cast on the penny directly causes it to crack down the center, instantly destroying it.
